 Israel Houghton has won so many awards (GRAMMYs, Doves, Stellars and Soul Train Awards) that winning must seem like old-hat to him. However, instead of just resting on his laurels, he still likes to lead the pack when it comes to getting him music and his message out there. Last year, Houghton was the first Christian artist with an iPhone Application. This year's first is through iTunes because on August 31st, Israel's new album, Love God. Love People., will be their first Christian iTunes LP. | Steven Curtis Chapman on Tour |

 For the remainder of 2010, Steven Curtis Chapman fans will have plenty of opportunities to see him perform. This summer he will be at several festivals and then he and his wife, Mary Beth Chapman, will be on the Women of Faith tour as well as their own tour, A Night With the Chapmans. Mary Beth just wrote a book titled Choosing to See, which is about her lifelong struggle/walk with God.

| The Dove Awards Says Goodbye to Nashville |

 Since the first Dove Awards were handed out in 1969, the annual ceremony has been held in Nashville, Tennessee. At this year's awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry House, there was no hint that change was coming. However, the Gospel Music Association has announced that the Dove Awards will move to Atlanta, Georgia, home of the Gospel Music Channel, for 2011. The 2011 Dove Awards will be held in Atlanta's historic and fabulous Fox Theatre on April 20, 2011. The GMA is working with the city of Atlanta to make sure that Dove Award activities will take place in close proximity to the Fox Theatre, to create an intimate atmosphere for attendees, artists and industry VIPs....Read Full Post |
